During our Prospective Player meeting we cover much information and this post is designed to provide a recap of the key topic areas for the upcoming 2020 season.
Required Forms:
In order to participate in any BHS off-season or in-season athletic activity every player must have a current athletic physical on record at the High School. There are no exceptions to this rule. 8th grade students are responsible for make sure that their physical has been turned into the high school office. Students must also be sure to have a completed medical form, concussion waiver and team rules completed and turned in prior to the start of tryouts. All required forms can be found on the team website.
Pre-Season and Open Gym:
Throughout January and February players are highly encouraged to join our off-season training. During these sessions we will work on ball skill development (including Keeper training), tactical understanding of team dynamics and development of fitness and core strength. Off-season activities will be held on the BHS Turf, Gym and Weight Room. A special emphasis will be placed on improving player finishing and restart ball delivery.
If you are interested in participating in off-season training be sure to contact Coach Travis to verify that you are signed up on TeamSnap!

Corner Kick Delivery – Varsity candidates will have a special opportunity to earn their way onto the team. Of the 38 goals scored in the first round of group-stage matches at the 2018 World Cup, seven were from penalties, six from corner kicks, four directly from a free kick and three from free-kick crosses.
