Recap

Blacksburg traveled to face an unbeaten Radford team.  The match was played to a 0-0 halftime draw, but Blacksburg rallied in the second half to score 3 unanswered goals in just their second match of the season.

Mari Garza penetrated the Radford defense earning a PK which was scored by Kyia Williams in the 56th minute.  Just one minute later, Kyia Williams would finish a shot by McKenna Ebel extending the Blacksburg lead to 2 goals.  With 6 minutes left Georgia Halkidis scored from distance to seal the win for Blacksburg.

Kenzie Verbrugge and Leah Daily helped to earn the shutout for the Blacksburg Defense.  Blacksburg recorded 20 shots to 8 by Radford.  Kenzie Verbrugge recorded 2 saves and the Radford goalie recorded 6 save.  Blacksburg had 11 corners compared to 1 for Radford.
