United StatesHigh School: Ellie has been a member of Blacksburg’s soccer program since starting as an 8th grader on JV in 2017, where she was one of the leaders in assists and scoring. She was also a starter as a sophomore on varsity, and can play virtually any position on the field.
In addition to soccer, Ellie has been a four year member of BHS basketball, starting at PG as an 8th grader on JV, and a three year starter in varsity playing PG as a freshman, and sophomore, and moving to shooting guard as a Junior. She was also one of two team captains as a Sophomore and Junior, and made All District as a Junior.
Ellie is currently the Treasurer of Blacksburg’s SkillsUSA, and in 2020, placed 1st in Occupational Display at both the District and Region level. She qualified for State, but it was canceled due to COVID. She maintains a 3.8 GPA.
Personal: Born September 7, 2002. Daughter of Donna and Donald, A. Gresh Jr. She has two older sisters, Emily and Erika, and an older brother, Donald A. Gresh, III (“Trey”), who was a scholarship football player at Virginia Tech. Her beloved dog, Tripp, exhibits the motto of “Man’s Best Friend.”
