The camp will be held at Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg, VA. In case of bad weather, the camp will be held inside the BHS gym.
The 21st Annual Blacksburg Goalkeeping School promises to be the best. In the past, we have included field players but we are going back to what made this camp unlike any other in the area. It is a camp for goalkeepers and ONLY goalkeepers. This year’s camp will be on February 19th, 2017 . This year’s camp promises to be the best camp we have ever had. Our goal is to help goalkeepers of all ages become the very best goalkeeper they can be.
From the beginning goalkeeper to the advanced, highly trained goalkeeper, each student will be tested and refined to advance to his/her next level. From technique to tactics to psychological makeup, the students have the opportunity to learn from the best directors and staff.
Each keeper is placed in an environment that will challenge and elevate his/her level of play. No matter what level, goalkeepers completing our program will find it challenging and ultimately, very rewarding.
The cost of the camp will be $50 if you pre-register before February 11th and $60 after that date. All campers get an official Blacksburg Goalkeeping School t-shirt.
Coaches are encouraged to send more than one keeper there is no substitute for a fundamental sound back-up.

Travis Bishop – assistant coach and goalkeeping coach for Blacksburg High School boys soccer. 2012 NSCAA East Region High School Assistant Coach of the Year. Assistant Coach of the 1998, 1999, 2000, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2013 State Championship teams at Blacksburg. 2009 and 2013 Virginia High School Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year. Former goalkeeping coach at Roanoke College. ODAC champions in 2001, 2002, 2004. Travis has coached many goalkeepers who have gone on to the college level including Michael Releford, the 2012 ODAC Player of the Year.
