As she enters the 2018 high school season, Ashlen Burch has contributed to three Regular Season and Tournament Championships, two Region Championships, three appearances in the State Final Four and two State Championship in 2015 and 2016. During Ashlen’s tenure with the BHS Girls Soccer Program the team has achieved a record of 61-3-3 in three seasons.
In her freshman and sophomore years, Ashlen recorded 8 goals and 15 assists and earned 2nd Team All Region accolades. In her junior season, Ashlen was second in points on the team scoring 8 goals and 3 assists. She also was a part of 3 game winning goals during the 2017 season. As a junior, Ashlen finished the season earning All-Conference and All-Timesland honors.
Ashlen’s club career includes a long tenure with the NRU Soccer Club.
As a student at Blacksburg High School Ashlen is a member of HOSA, Student Assembly and National Honor Society where she tutors students in need. She has also volunteered her time with the Roanoke Rescue Mission and Linus Blankets serving local community members. This past year Ashlen also traveled to Mexico where she assisted with the construction of homes in local communities.
Ashlen will continue her soccer career at Milligan College, located in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Where she has been awarded a combined athletic and academic scholarship. Ashlen will major in nursing with plans to become a Physician’s Assistant.
