Blacksburg hosted undefeated Cave Spring at Bill Brown Stadium and came out on top with a 2-0 win. Ashlen Burch scored the game winning goal in the 60th minute receiving a pass from Georgia Halkidis and dribbling through the Cave defense and finishing a well placed shot. Kayla Monaghan would give the Bruins a cushion finishing a cross from Akaela Feng in the 74th minute.
Blacksburg recorded a total of 22 shots and the Cave keeper recorded 13 saves. Kinsey Verbrugge recorded two saves to earn the shutout. Blacksburg recorded 7 corner kicks compared to 2 corners for Cave Spring.
